<description>Hi Carole you are absolutely right on the mark. While it does take a bit of courage to make an appointment to preplan ones funeral. The outcome is the sense of pride and accomplishment in knowing that you have done the best you can to let your loved one’s know what type of funereal services you want to celebrate your life and loved one’s. Thank you for your comments.

<description>Thanks Kat, for your very informative post on preplanning. I can&#039;t tell you how many families I have spoken to who do not preplan. The difference in emotional between those who do and those who did not, is huge. The ones that do not almost always say they wish they had preplanned their loved one&#039;s funeral service. Without preplanning, no one can ever be prepared for the expense, planning, and emotions that comes when a loved one dies.</description>

		<description>Dear Monique

Thank you so much for viewing the video and I appreciate your comments. Yes you certainly have a lot on your plate and rebuilding your home as you mentioned will take time. Your Dad is being very considerate of the enormous number of decisions you likely have to make concerning rebuilding your home. I also appreciate that if your sister travels frequently, your concern is extremely valid that is if something happens to your Dad while your sister is out of the country, she may not be available to act as POA for your father. You may wish to ask to father to consider making you a contingent POA as the second in line after your sister. This way all your bases are covered. I hope this helps and as always, I am here for you and your family.

		<description>Hi Kat,

I loved the video.

It&#039;s short and seems to cover it all. My sister took over power of attorney, etc. after I had my fire because my dad felt I was going through too much and worried if anything happened to him. She lives in Ottawa, I live in Barrie, he lives in Hamilton. She also travels all over the world for her work. We do not share this power of attorney and I worry about what happens if anything happens to dad while she is away. She just came back from Sri Lanka for example.
